I am currently trying to get Windows Media Connect to connect to my XBox 360
for Media play. I start WMC and it does not folder sharing. The error log
says it's because my computer does not have the UPNPHOST. I went to the
services list to see if it was running or started. The Universal Plug and
Play service is not even listed as a service.
So, it seems my computer does not have the service or something bigger is
wrong. I did a search on my computer for the UPNPHOST dll, and it's found,
at least in the windows/system32 directory and also the
windows/servicepackfiles/i386 directory.
Can someone please help with this issue? I need to know how to find or
install this service, if possible. I have done many searches on
microsoft.com and also these newsgroups. I have yet to find a subject on how
to FIND the UPNPHOST service and/or install it.
