upgrading windows 2000 from windows 98

I have installed windows 2000 onto my HP Omnibook laptop
and it is now running in parallel with Windows 98 which I
can alternate between on start up. I want to run solely
on Win 2K and lift all applications and programmes from
Win 98.

Please can you tell me what I do next.

Or simply (heh heh) upgrade the Win98 installation and delete the separate Win2K one.
