Upgrade limitations
You may not be able to upgrade your installation of Windows Vista Beta 2 (or
RC1) to the final, commercially available edition of Windows Vista. To
upgrade you will need to acquire the final edition of Windows Vista and you
may have to do a clean installation.

There's a decent chance that you'll be able to, but don't base your
happiness on that.

Even if you can upgrade from beta or RC1, you'll have to provide proof of
purchase for eligible upgrade. It'll scan for previous version of Windows.

Not if you buy the full edition. Full editions can do upgrades for the
convenience of the customer without requiring any verfications.
