I may be able to help with one
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913433/en-us
Update: 913433

Michael posted:
<snip> I managed to get it sorted by manually updating it.

Internet Explorer --> Internet Options
Settings
View Objects
Right Click the Shockwave Flash Object and choose Update.

This should update it to version 8.0.24.0. I then done a Windows Update and
the Flash Update was no longer showing up. <snip>

Good catch, TaurArian! I went another way - My Computer> Windows>
Downloaded Programs - to the Flash Object but the results were the same.

Hi Sharon, seems to be a problem when there was an older version of flash on
the computer which had been updated to the newer version at some time. Files
left over from the older version are triggering the update from what I've
read.
As I say, there's more than one way to achieve the same result.

Perhaps try the WU Newsgroup and provide more information on what the problem is
regarding the failed updates
Windows Update newsgroup:
(OE newsreader)
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsupdate
or
(Web)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...=microsoft.public.windowsupdate&lang=en&cr=US

On the WU Website, select your history of updates - now click on failed update
(red mark) and see if there is an error code.
If there is an error code, write it down and post on the Windows Update
Newsgroup or in the alternative, do a search for the error code.

You'll need to state what Operating System you are using etc.
