hello there, the last 4 sig updates have gone fine currently defender sig is
1.4.1475.5 but the windows clean up utility is still showing 1.20.0.0 which
hasent changed for over a month, event viewer is saying defender updates have
been installed sucessfully so which is right defender or clean up. thanks...

I would trust what Windows Defender says on the home page. If you have been
making use of the cleanup utility, and are also running Microsoft Office in
a version which updates via OfficeUpdate or MicrosoftUpdate--you probably
need to run a repair install. Please try to visit OfficeUpdate and see
whether you can scan for updates without an error. A critical update will
be release 2nd Tuesday in June, for Word--and you need Office to be
patchable.

Sounds good--just watch on June 13 to be sure you see a Word related patch
applied.

Open Disk Cleanup via Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools.
It will scan the system first. Click the More Options tab.
Now click the Clean up button under System Restore.
This will remove all but the most recent restore points.

Steve, The most recent restore 'point' not 'points'.
