With the last Windows Defender Beta, I never was able to complete a
successful scan. I read some posts from back in Feb 2006 saying you'd fix
this issue in the next update. So today, for the first time in a while, my
Defender notified me that MS had an update. I downloaded it (at first not
sucessfully, I had just ran the program, but later downloaded it and then ran
it). After the download, I ran the program and approx. 4 minutes and over
12,000 files scanned later I received the 0x8050800c unexplanned error
message. So, I guess for those of us with this program from the past,
Windows Defender still isn't fixed? What's up? The first Defender from over
a year ago worked fine. Please help. Thanks!
