Update problems again

I went through the procedure described by removing a file
from c:\windows\system32; add/remove programs, etc. and
the update to 5733 worked fine. Now the system won't
update from 5733 to 5735.

Any suggestions??

Have you tried updating through the same procedure again? Also check help
about to see if the definitions have already been installed.

I, too, am having a problem. I replaced the gcUncompress.dll file and this
stopped the notices saying there was an update until this evening when I
have again been updated from 5733 to 5733.

On the other hand my friend has been updated to 5731 this evening!

What is happening with these?

.....it gets more odd. After a little while (and no further downloading) my
PC started to show 5735.

When I did a manual download for my friend it updated to 5735 (though an
automatic download had allegedly performed). And it showed immediately in
Help.

The things with 5735 it seems, you have to do a manual update at least more
than once.
