unwanted search bar and default page

QUES: A SEARCH ENGINE titled portal searching.com has
latched onto my system, and my default page in internet
options. Alot of 3rd party advertisement. Porno
crap.Internet explorer can't seem to dump it and it
constantly shows up on favorite bar-cannot delete -
pleasehelp--operating windows98-se.

Hi Chris,

First, scan the system for parasites and remove them. SpyBot S&D searches
your harddisk for Spyware and Adware

(Remember to perform a Webupdate to have the latest definitions installed)

This will remove malware from the PC. Next, reset the Search Engine. Click
the Search button in the toolbar > Customize > AutoSearch Settings > Select
a provider from the list.
Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs > "Reset Web Settings"
