Hello, All
I'm running WinXP Home Edition SP2 and here's the deal:
For some unknown reason there are
unwanted folders being created that are EMPTY, and follow
the naming format "MSI#####.tmp", where each "#" represents a letter or
a numeral, and these empty folders are always listed with a ".tmp"
extension. (YES--they're folders, but they've got an extension.)
Another kind of folders have just numbers like "_545125_" and are empty as well but have NO extension. Except this, everythings works fine.
I have searched forums and found someone who had the same problems and fixed it by using "Disk Cleaner " with a self-written plug-in (--> https://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-2167993.php)
I copied the plug-in, but it doesn´t find the MSI#####.tmp - files in D!
My plugin:
[info]
Title=Delete MSI .tmp folders
Description=A plugin designed to delete unwanted .tmp folders that keep
showing up
[files]
D:\MSI*.tmp /si
With the other folders, I don´t know a solution neither.
Thanks,
Christoph
