Uninstall wizard software?

A week ago I installed word on a pc that I am now returning to the
store. To install it I needed to phone Microsoft to tell them it
was not installed elsewhere and obtain a new number.

To avoid this next time I looked for the uninstall software that
MS apparently used to provide to avoid this problem. But every
link to it results in a 404 error.

Does such a software still exist? Is there another way to let MS
know that the Office software is being officially uninstalled?

This is controlled by the number of allowed activations for the software you
are using. When you have "used up" all activations for a particular product
key, only Microsoft can fix that, as far as I know.
