uninstall problem

Can you help, i'm trying to uninstall a program from
add/remove and I'm getting an error message
saying......WISE UNINSTALL could not open INSTALL.LOG
FILE. I'm running XP home
This is really annoying as I don't know what to do.

Well, at least you know the program used Wise Installer technology I
would install jv 16 power toys:
http://www.macecraft.com/
& use it to clean out the registry including its entry in Add/Remove
Programs. Quite why the uninstall process fails - who can say, unless it
was looking in an emptied Temp file folder or just a damaged logfile.

When you run one of these installers (Wise or Installshield) one thing
it does is create such a log file, so that uninstall can find what it
has to do. And at some point it has got deleted (possible by a routine
tidy up of unwanted files including any .log in it).

Best first try is to *install* it again, being careful to put it in the
same place as before, and hope that this produces a new log that can be
used to uninstall with
