Hi,

How do I uninstall KB909520? I just downloaded this from Windows Update.

I went to the update history and it says that:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Microsoft Base Smart Card Cryptographic Service Provider Package: x86
(KB909520)

Base Smart Card Cryptographic Service Provider (Base CSP) allows smart card
vendors to more easily enable their smart cards on Windows with a lightweight
proprietary card module instead of a full proprietary CSP. After you install
this item, you may have to restart your computer.

How to Uninstall
This software update can be removed via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

However it doesnt show in the Add/Remove Programs.

Hi

If you really want to uninstall that Update, open Windows Explorer and go to
the Windows folder. Have a look in there for the
C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB909520$ folder. A sub folder named spuninst should
be there. Run the spuninst.exe file.

Hi,

Have you enabled (checked) the option at the top of the Add/Remove dialog to
"show updates"?
