Unexplained device displayed in My Computer

Removable Disk (G:) is displayed in My Computer, but I don't know why. It
does not correspond to any device I have connected. When I double-click on
it, I get the message "Please insert a disk into dive G:" In Device Manager,
all my devices are accounted for, so I can't match up G with any device. Why
causes this, and how can I get rid of it displaying in My Computer?
Thanks for any help.

Do you have a device that has a USB card reader, like a printer?

Yes, my printer has built-in slots for reading several types of memory cards.
Do these show up as a separate device in My Computer then?
