Unable to view properties in Event logs, services or MMC

Can anyone help me out please? I get booted out of event viewer, services
and the MMC whenever I try to view the properties. I am an admin and in the
admin group with "full control". This problem is affecting everyone I work
with sans one person. Everyone claims they didn't do anything but this
problem just started a few days ago.

Now - I can see these functions at my work station but when I log on to the
server that is when I am having the problem. I log on at my workstation under
one profile, map to the servers under another one. The profile I map to the
server which allows me permissions at my work station, is the same one that
boots me out at the server.

I get no error messages, Dr. Watson log files is not showing any anomolies
and I am having a hard time trying to find a shred of evidence to
troubleshoot.

Hi Debbie,

If you're experiencing this problem on Windows 2000 Advanced Server, then
you may be required to install the Post SP5 hotfix mentioned in the
following article:

831885 You receive an "mmc.exe - Application Error" message when you close
Event Viewer on a Windows 2000-based computer

Hope this helps,
