Event log error :

Hey Everyone,
I have windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4 installed.
For the past week, everyday when I log into the local administration profile
on the server I get a windows update prompt saying "Windows recently updated
and required an automatic restart of your computer. The server keeps
rebooting at 3am daily. I have an event log that reports:
Event ID:10005
Source:MsiInstaller
Product: Microsoft XMLParser and SDK. The installer has encountered an
unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with
this package. The error code is 2103. The arguments are: 26.
Also:
Event ID:11708
Product:Microsoft XML Parser and SDK Installation failed.

Any suggestions on how to resove this problem much appreiciated. TIA

Hi Joe,

It looks like MSUS cannot be used to deploy this particular update when the
update is installed automatically. The update fails to install via a
scheduled Automatic Updates (AUOptions=4) installation cycle because the
installation is then run in the context of the LocalSystem.

Try to manually install the MS02-008 from the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/q317244/default.asp
