Unable to record with XP's screen saver (with password) running?

Hi. I tried to record my scheduled TV show tonight for the very first
time being out for a long time. I came home, woke the computer, logged
in (screen saver with password), and noticed a message that ATI's TV
viewer couldn't started.

Does this mean I can't have my screen saver and power-saving monitor
when scheduling TV show recordings? Or am I doing this wrong?

Thank you in advance.

power management should be fine but Screen Savers have always been a disrupting event. Just turn the power switch off, the only TRUE
screen saver.

hello? are you on the same planet.......'turn off the screen saver and use the monitors power switch' thats off the wall?
ok///sure

Oh you meant the monitor. Well, I could but sometimes I forget to turn
off the monitor. Hence, why I use a screen saver and power-saving mode.

Just for kicks, I tried "don't display the player" and only record.
I still get "Unable to initialize display..." message.

I read your comment as meaning he should record on the monitor somehow.

OK, I experimented a bit and discovered this:

The exact error message: "The TV player failed to initialize the video."

Using Windows XP's lock feature (Winkey + L) doesn't let me record a
scheduled TV show.

Power-saving mode for monitor is fine, and my computer can record a
scheduled TV show.

Here's what weird. I told the recorder to record only. I did NOT check
"Watch". Why did the video player still come up to show the TV show? Is
this a bug? Is this why it is giving me an error? I forgot to mention
that I use Guide Plus program to set my recordings.

Also, this is a new installation of ATI stuff. I uninstalled every ATI
programs last night and installed the new drivers and MMC.

Thank you in advance. :)
