Unable to Ping from command prompt

Hello
In a command prompt (WinXP Pro) I am unable to use the
ping command. An error says 'ping' is not recognized as
an internal or external command, operable program or
batch file. Has anyone else seen this and know what the
fix is. Thanks for any help!

make sure you have ping.exe on the computer and use path to check the ping
path.

works just fine. Any other ideas. tahnks for the reply.

- its not in your path ?
- you have a ping.something else (com, bat, dll??) that is conflicting ?

I think your windows environment variables path environment changed. Just add the current location in path so that you can access it
from command prompt.
