Unable to open default eamil folders

I am running Vista and had office/outlook 2000 installed. I uninstalled it
and istalled office 2007. When trying to run out look, I received a message
"unable to open personal folders" and the program would close out.
I created a new profile and deleted my previous profiles and received the
same error message. I searched my computer for *.pst and it came back with
no (zero) pst files.
Then I deleted all profiles thinking it would open and allow me to enter a
new profile. No the error message reads "cannot open default e-mail folders"
and it still closes.
Office is not on disc, I downloaded it from the Microsoft website and
entered my key. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I believe you have done the following already completely removed Office 2007 and did a fresh install. Next create a new profile. If this was already done and still experiencing issues you want to try the following switch cleanpst.
