Unable to modify/save Powerpoint presentation

Hello,

I am unable to edit and modify a particular Powerpoint presentation and keep
gettin the error: "There was an error accessing ...." when trying to do
"save" or "save as" from MS-Powerpoint 2003 SP3.

I tried to copy/paste all slides to a new Powerpoint presentation but I lose
the background of my slides when I do that. I tried saving and renaming the
file. Nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions to resolve this problem ?

Regards,

Paolo

There are many things this could be.

Make sure you are writing to a local hard drive that is not locked. Avoid
USB drives and network drives when working on PowerPoint files.

Try round tripping the presentation through HTML, this may remove some
mionor corruption. (Save as an HTML file, then close the original and open
the HTML file in PowerPoint, then save as a new PPT file)

Try using the copy all slides trick again, but look for the small clipboard
looking smart tab after you paste the slides into a new blank presentation.
One of the options when you click on this tabby type thing is to keep the
original formatting.

If that doesn't work, try to copy over sections at a time. You may only
have one slide that is corrupt and the rest may be able to be salvaged.
