Unable to download or open attachments

I recently installed the up[dated version of McAfee Security and did a
complete scan. Since then I cannot open any attachment in Outlook Express
nor download any file.

Is there some setting in Windows that could have been changed that would
cause this?

Outlook: under tools/options/security/uncheck don't allow attachment to be
opened. There's also an option in IE not to allow downloads/

Marv,

Reread the above. It's McAfee, not Windows causing the issue.
Get it ?

" I tried to fill my car up with diesel fuel, although it's a gas
engine "
Is that the gas station's fault or is it your's for filling the car with
the WRONG fuel ?

Jim, I had done that. The problem is that the "allow attachments" box is
checked but itis grayed out so I cannot change it.

I also used Regedit to look at the value for the "Safe Attachments" in the
registry. It is zero as I was told is the correct value.

Thanks for the input.

Maybe you can use your own advice and not call people names?
