Trying to save photos onto disk - HELP

Wendy

Please help if possible. I am trying to save digital
photo files onto CD. I have managed to copy them onto
temp file in E drive CD-RW, but when I try to write the
photos to CD I am getting a message that the CD is not a
writable CD or is full. I have tried two different makes
of CD-R and CD-RW which should be o.k and they are
definitely not full but keep getting message. I am able
to play audio CD's and CR-ROM's on CD RW but can't copy
files or burn cd's. Is there something simple I may be
doing wrong?

Are you using software to burn your cd, or just trying to
copy them to a cd? You'll need some cd burning software.
Roxio easy cd creator, or try this website there is some
free cd burning software here.

Is your drive "enable" to record?
Open My Computer. Your drive will be listed there.
Right click on it. Click on Properties. Click on Details tab and check the
box "Enable...."

Me again...

I did it! I found a way to record..

TO SET UP FOR RECORDING:
My computer, right click on your CD/R drive (D:/ for
me) ..select properties, go to the RECORDING tab and tick
the "Enable CD Recording on this Drive".then fill in the
rest of the box..then APPLY.. and it will now work.

TO RECORD:
Go to My computer, find the folder/file you want copied,
hold down SHIFT and double click on the folder. A popup
window appears .. drag your file to the CD/R drive you
use then the Copying window appears,... if you have any
hidden files it will ask do you want to continue.. click
yes.

Then a 'speech window' appears and says you have files
waiting to be written, select this window and click the
file/folder you want copied, then on the left
select "write these files to CD".. and the CD writing
Wizard will start up.. you can follow from there.

Many thanks

Jacinta
