Trying to move an email to a Personal Folder

I am using Outlook 2002...

When trying to move files to from my Inbox to a personal
folder, I get the following message.

"The item could not be moved. It was either already
moved or deleted, or access was denied."

Now, my inbox is getting very full. Help!!
Any creative work-around to this problem would be helpful.

Did you create a folder in the Outlook folder list structure to move
these messages to? If you did not, try that. If you have created a
folder, are you certain that it appears in your folder list?
