I am sure if I send to others the same error will occur. I have read the
replies from the posts and tried all that was suggested, check the box,
not
check the box and on and on.

I would as that Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM please respond. He seems to
know what he is talking about.

Does MS realize they have a problem here?

I am getting the same security error - I can go to my old PC with XP on
it
and send all day long no problem but not with Vista on my new PC. How do
you
turn off the authentication setting ? This is insane, email is very basic
and
works every where except with Vista.

Sure looks like Road Runner is blocking port 25 to any SMTP server but their
own.

Gary sure knows what he's talking about, too.

You haven't told us who your ISP is.

SSL and port 25 are seldom used together. Try turning off SSL.

Does your path to mail.readyalert.com go through any other internet
provider's
equipment, such as the tampabay.rr.com equipment, before it gets there?
If
so, connections to port 25 are often blocked to cause trouble for
spammers.
You may need to ask readyalert.com if their outgoing email server listens
to
any port other than port 25 for the outgoing mail.

According to the message SSL is not on.

Site doityourselfradonradon.com either hasn't been registered with the
DNS servers, or hasn't been registered long enough to reach this part
of the net. Therefore, it's unreachable.

This site is useless and without all of the rhetoric would you (Microsoft)
please assist me in the fact that I cannot send emails using Windows Mail.
That is all I am interested in as this is causing business difficulties and
money.

Microsoft isn't here, just volunteers.
What happens when you try to send mail?
Please give the complete text of any error message.

Thousands of satisfied 'customers' would not call this site "useless."
But, it is indeed useless to someone who does not post the details of
their issue with Windows Mail.

If you can't do that, perhaps a call to the Geek Squad would be in order:

How could the error message be the same?
Before it complained about doityourselfradonradon.com. I thought you
took the second 'radon' out?
Please post the latest error message.

Do you get a different error message?

According to this

you can use mail.charter.net for both POP & SMTP server names

Well darn, nice catch. unfortunantly that didn't fix it.

Looks like you have an extra "radon" in there....

I get a different error message as well, I didn't know where to reply to, so
I chose this guy Dave, sounded like he had same kind as me. I have yahoo
mail, gmail, firefox which is gmail, and I have outlook, and lots of times I
get emails from senders with outlook, I can read theirs but I can't send
anything on outlook, or the updated outlook. I also get people sending
emails to me that I am to answer them back email outlook. I do the POP3, but
it doesn't get there, I get the error instead or that I'm not joined up,
which I know I am. I don't know what to do with that nor what to do with
enabling cookies and cache, or to delete them, cause I have no tools or
internet options icons or anything. I have windows vista, if you can help
with all this great and God Bless

Do you really think anyone is paying attention to a post that is more than
two years old? Please start your own new thread. You don't /reply/ to
anyone to do this, you click New / Question. And, post any error messages
you get verbatim.
