trouble installing egames on xp

I tried installing egames mahjongg master 4 cd on my
computer and it says the cd is either corrupt or
incompatible with xp. Can anybody help?

Hi Connie,

MM4 is designed for Windows XP according to the label,
so if you have not had any problems installing your other
software from the original CD's, this one may be defective.

Here's some advice for you Connie, which may help..

That type of situation may be indicating a problem with the CD Drive
or the CD ROM media. Clean both using a Cleaning Kit, check for
scratches on the CD, and try installing the game on another computer;
If the game installs, your most likely culprit is your CD ROM drive,
otherwise it's the media in which case you need to contact the vendor
if cleaning or repairing scratches on the surface of the CD doesn't help.

Before giving up hope try these steps:

1. In My Computer, right click the CD and copy it to your drive.
2. In My Computer, Rightclick the Drive / Choose Properties
and click the "Disk Cleanup..." button make space available.
3. Reboot, and press F8 to start Windows in SAFE MODE.
4. Doubleclick the setup.exe to install your program in safe mode.
