TROJAN QHOST virus II

When I go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/828
750/download.asp and open or download the patch:

Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP

Security Update
2.51 MB file
12 min @ 28.8 Kbps

It gives me an error message that says I need to have IE
6 installed on my computer - which I do.

Is there some reason you are trying to install the October
patch rollup instead of the November one (which includes
all of the October) ?
