You talkin' to me ?

A few days ago I was accused of trying to get somebody to do my own
dirty work - referring to critical updates for the outgoing Windows98.
Well, I went to
http://www.microsoft.com/windows98/downloads/corporate.asp and
downloaded the bunch. Four of the files listed were not on the Microsoft
server - I've e-mailed them for an explanation, but I'm not holding my
breath. Posted this so you'll know to expect to come up short as I did.

Security Update, September 7, 1999
109 KB | 1 Min @ 28.8 | Posted 7 Sep 99
Update for Security Vulnerabilities in "Scriptlet.typlib" and "Eyedog"
ActiveX Controls. This update eliminates the "scriptlet.typlib/eyedog"
security vulnerability. Without this update, these ActiveX controls can
be maliciously used to perform unauthorized actions on a user's
computer.

Security Update, April 21, 1999
Info & Privacy Update. This update eliminates a vulnerability in DHTML
Edit control, an ActiveX control, which is distributed with Internet
Explorer 5 and that can be downloaded for use in Internet Explorer 4.0.
The vulnerability could allow someone to read information that you have
loaded into the control, and it also could allow files with known names
to be copied from your local hard drive.

Windows Script Support

use in your Web browser and other Windows applications. Included in this
release are new versions of Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript®),

Windows Script Host. To make scripts run faster, performance in this
version has been considerably improved over the previous version.

If anyone out there has those four files, I'd appreciate getting copies,

Aren't some of the former critical updates included in the later ones,
thus negating the need for the former individual update(s)? That was my
understanding and if so, it would explain the lack of certain criticals.

I also tried to d/l all the win98 patches and found several of the
files missing (i.e. clicking the download button resulted in a pages
saying the link was incorrect). I don't recall their names, but I
think they were the same as you listed.
