tray icon removeal

The problem I have is I can't hide the tray icon. I have
turned it off and it still shows up on the task bar but
the show icon box is uncheck even after restart and
thurning it off over night it still shows up with the show
icon box unchecked

There are a number of bugs of this sort, I'm afraid. On my systems set to
hide the icon, it hides unless the machine is on at the time of a scheduled
scan, in which case the icon stays out there until the next restart, as I
recall.
