A message was selected in Outlook then a new folder to be created. The OK
button was selected in error before naming a folder. The email was lost.
I went to Advanced Find and was able to locate it. Not through regular
search.
The folder location is was in said: Top of Information Store
What is that? How do you access that??

What does "message" and "new folder" have to do with each other? You
missed something in your first sentence, like perhaps you were *moving*
an item from an old folder to a newly created one.

I'm guessing the "top" of the message store is represented by the root
folder (tyically labelled "Outlook Today") in the hierarchical tree view
of the message store. Do you have the tree view shown that lists the
folder hierarchy in the message store? You probably MOVED the item into
the root node. Outlook doesn't display items saved there (and expects
to use an internal web page to display the "Outlook Today" page). So
using Advanced Find is one way to get at them (other ways are
complicated in using 3rd party utilities to dig into the message store
database). Once the item is listed in Advanced Find results, drag or
move it to wherever you want.
