Tools/Folder Options

In Windows Explorer, I have lost the ability to access Folder Options
and other control panels in Tools, which all been replaced by "Map
Network Drive... Disconnect Network Drive... and Synchornize..." I have
tried to run Regedit, and an error occurs stating the admin. doesn't
allow editing of registry, even though I am the admin. Its not very
clear to me how this happened.

Is this computer part of a network?
If not it looks like some settings were changed in the Local Security
Policy.
Is your machine Virus and spyware free? There are some viruses that make
changes to local security policy.

You could look at your local security policy under admistrator tools in
control panel.

No, my computer isn't part of a network, and I don't have XP
Professional, so Local Security Policy isn't under Admin. Tools. I
will run a scan for virus' and spyware to check.

Do you have Hijackthis? If you run it and send me your scan log I might be
able to see if there is something nasty in there.
