Folder Options gone from the Options Menu

Recently, I've wanted to open some hidden folders; but I'm unable to do so
because I cannt unhide them. When I click on 'Options', I don't see the
standard menu which includes the command 'Folder Options', I see a menu with
'Map Network Connection' and 'Disconnect Network Drive'. Nowhere on the
computer can I find 'Folder Options'. Not even in the control panel. Help?

Hi Donovon,

Disable the NoFolderOptions policy:
NoFolderOptions:

Thanks, that worked.

Now that I've toggled the NoFolderOptions Policy, the option to show hidden
files is no longer visible. These are the following options groups located
under the 'Advanced Options' window in the 'View' tab: Files and Folders, and
Managing pairs of Web pages and folders. Nowhere does it have the option to
unhide hidden folders.

Hi Donovon,

Looks like someone has deliberately removed the entry, and set the NoFolderOptions policy. To restore the "Hide files and folders" section entirely, try this:

1. Login as Administrator (or equivalent)
2. Click Start/Run and type:

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

3. Close and re-open Folder Options.
