Toolbar / task menu missing from Windows Explorer

For no reason I can think of, the tool and task bars are
missing from Windows Explorer on my copy of XP. I've
tried everything I can think of but I still can't find an
option to restore the menu bars. Can anyone help?

Hi,

Sounds as though you are in full screen mode. If so, hit F11. If this is
not the case, read on.....

Windows Explorer has a Toolbar and a Status Bar. Are you also stating that
only in Windows Explorer the taskbar is missing, if so: Right click the
Taskbar where ever it does appear and select Properties and check the box
that reads: Keep the taskbar on top of other windows.

As for the toolbar:

Restore/Repair Toolbars in IE and/or Windows Explorer (Line 3)

As for the Status bar:

Manual Edit

Go to Windows Explorer/View/Status Bar. Then go to Tools/Folder
Options/View/Apply to all folders. Works for IE as well.

Automated Edit

Enable Show Status Bar (Line 67)

Related Registry Keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
"Show_StatusBar"="yes"
"Show_URLinStatusBar"="yes"
"StatusBarOther"=dword:00000001

This fix works perfectly. Download the tool with the button, run the tool
from your desktop, and in 1 second, you have your tool & taskbars back!
Thank you, Kellys-Korner!!!
