menu bar disappears in explorer

A few days ago I realized that the menu bar (File, Edit,
View, etc.) was missing from the folders, as well as the
status bar, standard buttons, and the address bar. No
other bars were on before the menu bar disappeared. The
task pane is still there and if I go in under explorer
rather than just opening a folder, the bars are all there
and work.

So far, I've tried searching folder options for a setting
to change this, and finding none, and resetting the
defaults in folder options. I can't seem to find anyone
else who has encountered this situation.

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Which key does it try to remove? That would be odd for you to know, as the
edit resets ITBar Layout, etc.
