Somewhere along the line I clicked on something that has
installed an additional toolbar on my browser that
contains several radio buttons to different advertising
links. It also places ads for porno on banner positions
when I browse sites like the LA Times.

The toolbar property is worldanywhere.com Bar. I can't
find an area to delete it or its banner activity on sites
that I view.

Help!

"worldanywhere" is an affiliate of "hotwebsearch"
Use the "Cool Web Search" *Shredder*, here:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip
Unzip, close all instances of IE and OE (Outlook Express), hit the
executable and follow the prompts.

HTH and let us know how you made out.

Hi Steve,

First option is to run Ad-Aware scan (www.lavasoftusa.com). If the toolbar
entries are not removed still,

ToolbarCop:
http://www.angelfire.com/dragon/sramesh2k/utils/ToolbarCop.exe

Manual Procedure:
Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe)
Go to the following location and check each GUID sub-key. One of which is
the malware toolbar entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

Also, check here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions
{check the values in the right-pane to identify the malware toolbar.)

Spot the entry and delete the appropriate key (backup the registry first)
