Toolbar messup in MSIE 6

Hi,
I have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on my Win XP Pro SP2. I
notice a messup in the browser toolbars, eg. when I check Copernic Agent
toolbar, Nthe Norton Antivirus toolbar appears and vice versa. This happens
on my admin account. When I login ad restricted user, the scenario might be
diffrent, eg. when checking the Copernic Agent toolbar the Norton Internet
Security toolbar appears and vice versa. It is as if the toolbars are messed
up with each other so when you choose one toolbar by checking it in MSIE
menu: View->Toolbars, a diffrent toolbar appears and so forth. Both Symantec
and Copernic support team claims it is a known issue in MSIE - is there a way
to correct this annoying issue in the windows registry - or perhaps a fix?
Thanks Anders

Type this command in the RUN box, and press Enter:

The Windows Update menu text and it's corresponding URL is reset to factory

Hope this helps.

Hi Jan.

Yes - it sure works! - I did also delete the same registry entry in Explorer:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\Explorer\

On the right side, select ITBarLayout and delete it.

and discovered it did resolve the wery same and similar issue I had here in
regard to toolbars out of sync.

It has to be added also, that when you have more user accounts on one pc
this has to be done in regedit from each user account (as we are addressing
HKEY_CURRENT_USER) in order to resolve the problem for each and every user
account on the PC.

Again - you have a five-star rating for your invaluable help!
