Tool Bar "search assistant"

Gary Benny

Hi, recently, a "feature" showed up on my toolbar - It's
a search box that has the default text "search the web".
If I right click the tool bar, you can see that it is
checked as "search assistant". I don't know where this
came from and can't get rid of it. I've cleaned up with
spybot, ran virus protection, looked through all the
applications I can safely identify in "add/remove
programs", and basically did all the cleanup I could think
of. I have also cleared all the starup items in msconfig,
and it's still there! Any ideas are very welcome!
Thanks, Gary

Download SpyBot Search & Destroy, install and enable TeaTime with it.
Wonderful protection!
Or switch to Linux ;-)

I have SpyBot, and it works great. Not familiar with
TeaTime though, I'll check it out.
Or switch to Linux ;-)

Probably Not! But thanks. :)

OK. How do I find that registry entry? Is there a way do
do a word search on the registry?
