TOC problem (..)

Hi,

In a TOC I'm using a custom style to which I assign
the "TOC Level 2". When my TOC is created depending on
the length of the title of my section (which use the
custom style) the dots (leader, between the title and
page) are sometimes shown (when the title is long >13
characters) and sometimes not shown (when title is <13
characters). I don't understand why the dots (leaders)
are driven by the length of the title. If someome can
tell me how to fix this issue, i would greatly appreciate
it. Thanks.

Hi,

I resolved the problem. The TOC 2 Style had a hanging of
2cm (in the paragraph options) by removing it, the dots
appear on every title no matter its length.

the "Index and Tables" panel)

Hello,

Thanks, it was a hanging of 2cm in the TOC 2 style.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Another thing you might think about if you have longish TOC entries: apply a
right indent (1" or so) to the TOC 2 style (leaving the right tab stop at
the right margin). This will cause your TOC entries to wrap well short of
the page number, leaving adequate space for a leader regardless of the
length of the title.
