TOC Options Assistance needed.

We user heading Styles to generate our TOC. We use Heading 1 through 7 and
Title Style also. When I go into the TOC Options, in the TOC Level column I
put a 1-7 next to the first 7 heading styles and then an 8 next to Title
Style. Each time I regenerate it, I have to redo this. Why aren't these
settings staying? I have to put the 8 next to Title every time I regenerate.

Help, Thanks.

Have you set the outline level of the Title style to 8? Format | Style |
Modify | Format: Paragraph.

Of course I didn't, LOL. How dumb of me. Thank you. I'll do that first
thing in the morning. Thank you again Suzanne.

It's a very unobvious thing to do, and in fact I don't think I've ever
actually done it. I'm really just (re)learning all this stuff myself, in
preparation of an article soon to be up at

I recreated the issue at home and then made sure Title had Level 8 applied to
it in the paragraph section. It worked fine. I unlike you, deal with this
all the time and completely forgot about that, LOL. I looked every where in
my style, LOL. Just didn't have the old thinking cap on today. Thank you
again so much.
