TIF file associations

M

Mike Birdsong

I have a CD which contains an HTML page with links (and a description of
each TIF file) to TIF image files in a folder. When I click on the link,
instead of Windows XP Pro using the associated viewer program to open the
TIF images, it opens a new instance of Internet Explorer, which is unable to
display the image.

I can, however, browse to the individual images in the folder, and they open
fine with the associated viewer program.

This is happening on approx 10 out of our 20 workstations, which are running
the same version of XP Pro (SP1) and Internet Explorer 6.0 (SP1).
So, it almost has to be a setting or a registry entry that's different.

I have double-checked the file association settings, and have compared
everything I can think of to the workstations that are working correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Thanks in advance!
