For years I have transferred my photos to CD. Now when I do this,in each folder, along with the photos, I get a Thumbs icon too. When I click on this icon all I get is info stating that it is a Database file !! It seems to be absolutely useless and its presence is now annoying.

Anyone know how to stop it coming up in the first place?

You have "view hiden files & folders" active.

Normally you will not "see" these files ... just ignore them, they are there all the time. Now, just watch someone say they ain't got them. ;)

Thanks, Mucks. Is there a way to make this inactive? Or in other words, invisible.

Simple answer really, go hide 'system files & folders' ... ;)

Tools / Folder Options / View / Show hidden files and folders ... or, in your case, Hide ... :thumb:
