Hello,
I'm having a problem and hope someone can help. When I turn on my computer I
am getting the following message: This application has failed to start
because shdocvw.dll was not found. I get to my desktop and none of my icons
show up. It just hangs there for a few minutes then the computer reboots.
I've tried to go into safe mode to fix but still no icons are showing up
there either. I thought that I could put the windows xp disk in and perhaps
fix the problem but it will not read cd. It just goes to my desktop and then
reboots after a few minutes. Any help would be appreciated,

Missing entry: Install Reg_RunDLL

This can happen when you reinstall Windows over the top of itself,
without uninstalling Internet Explorer. If this is what you did, then
uninstall IE then reinstall it. IE will register this file during the
installation.
You may also be able to fix this by using the Regsv32a.exe utility
which can be downloaded here:
