In response to the note posted by Charlie on 1/10/2004, I am having the same issue. On 1/11/2004 I installed a couple recommended updates as well, and since have been unable to get passed the log in screen without receiving the same error: "This application has failed to start because SHDOCVW.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem." Is there a simple method of recovering this file?
