The Page Cannot Be Displayed

Steve

I have Windows XP and every time I type in a web address
on Internet Explorer 6, I get an error message
stating "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" and on the title
of the web page it says "Invalid Syntax Error".

It seems as if no matter what address I type in, IE
changes the letters to where they no longer make sense.

Please help, I've tried so many things

Not sure if this is really your problem but you could try running the
Winsock repair tools on the very bottom of this page:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

It is best if you run one or both of the following first:

Download/install/run Ad-Aware from:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
This will detect any spyware on your system. When you run Ad-Aware, click on
the ref update to get the latest up-to-date ref file, run Ad-Aware and
delete everything it finds.

If you are more advanced, then download/install/run:
Spybot - Search & Destroy from :
http://security.kolla.de/index.php?lang=en&page=download

Hope this helps.
