The page cannot be displayed!!

Dean R.

We are having trouble with our internet explorer.

For over a month IE would regularly crash be cause of
lsp.dll file causing error. Followed instructions on how
to fix this and now we have another problem.

When going to websites we get the message "The page cannot
be displayed", this doesn't happen on every site, and not
always on the same site. When it happens you can refresh
the page 4 or 5 times and the page will eventually load.
It is worse on secure sites such as online banking, email
sites etc.

Even if the pages do load the majority of images on the
page won't load, they just display the red cross. Again
you can refresh the page and different pictures will load
and those that were visible previously haven't loaded.
Pictures will load if you right-click and select show
picture.

We have done many searches trying to find an answer but
with no luck.

We are running Windows Me, IE6.
Can someone please help us, this problem is become very
annoying.

When searching for information on the web, frequently I do not know whether
the information is current or several years old. Can a person find out when
the web page was updated?

Thanks

Ohh, I did paste "javascript:alert(document.lastModified)" at the URL at
several website pages, some of which I know have not been updated for
several months, but all I get is today's present date and time in a pop-up.

I am working with Windows Home Edition XP and IE 6. Am I understanding your
information correctly?
Am I doing something wrong? Appreciate your interest and help.
