The floppy disk controller reported an error that is not recognised
by the floppy disk driver

i continually get this message when i try to open a floppy disk. i have just
put a new disk drive in, tried new disks and still have the same problem. i
cant even flash my bios in the startup as it says that it cannot find the
files.
i am at a loss as to what to do. anybody have any suggestions?????????

Check the drive. Is the light constantly on?
If so flip the cable over or make sure you have plugged the drive in on the
end that has the twist closest, but is still on a connector locateed after
the twist.

Have checked and rechecked and then rechecked again. it is something to do
with the system files themselves but what i just dont know. i dont understand
programming and that type of stuff so i can work out the prob that way.
