Text or Placeholder size change

I can't seem to change the size of a text box or placeholder box. I'm Using a
preformatted template. When I add a few more lines the box extends beyond
the template even though I have lots of room in the box. Once it's too
large I can't make smaller . I've tried moving the margin markers-nother
works.

I'm having a hard time picturing what's happening there, but try this:
right-click the textbox/placeholder and choose Format Object (or Format
Placeholder). Then on the Text box tab, make sure "resize autoshape to fit
text" is not selected.

It almost sounds as though you've got extra carriage returns at the end of
your text. Put your cursor at the end of the text and hit Delete a few
times. Does that resolve it?
