PowerPoint 2003 Title Placeholder in Master Slide

Kim

When we add a background color the the title placeholder in the Master Slide
and then add another text box or graphic on top of the placeholder it
visually appears in the Master Slide in front of the placeholder but in
normal view jumps to behind the placeholder and because of the color added we
can't see the graphic or text box. The graphic is the firm logo and the text
box is needed text. I've always been able to do this in the past. The
entire firm suddenly can't do this since yesterday. Was wondering if some
sort of update ran to change this. Anyhow, I have, of course, made both the
graphic and small text box in the Order Bring to the Front and Bring Forward
but nothing has worked. Any ideas or suggestions? Please help. Thank you.

Hi Kim

AFAIK PowerPoint always placed placeholders in normal edit view if front of
items on the master. Maybe with no fill it just LOOKED correct in the past?

I have never seen different behavior. Instead of filling the background of
the text box, place a colored rectangle behind the placeholder and the logo.
It will stay in the background.

Best regards,
Ute
