I'm using XP home and the latest version of IE.When I use
windows explorer I can't see the sub folders in my Temp.
Internet Files Folder. For the other users on this computer
there is a folder name IE5 in the temp. internet files
folder with 5 or 6 sub folders. When I right click on mine
and select properties it tells me that there are 17
folders in there,why can't I view them ?
Thanks

Go to Start / Run (Execute). Write the expression %temp% as it is (with
the symbols.) It's just your Temp file. Back to CONFIG 1
(you should see it on your left) and in Temp Internet Files you have
Content.IES.

Can you see the files now?

They can be deleted (both the ones in Temp file and the ones in Content.IES
except index file which is impossible to be deleted.

Go to Start / Run (Execute). Write the expression %temp%
as it is (with the two "%" symbols.) A new window will appear. It's called
Temp. You can see Temp on the left hand side at the top.

As you are using Windows XP you should see a link to Config 1 file (among
others) on the left. (Click "Files" botton at the top bar if necessary.)
Click this CONFIG 1link. A new window appears (Config 1.) Then in file Temp
Internet
Files you see Content.IES.

This is supposed to be the short way to find Content.IE5 but remember that
if you can't find the file that way, you can always use your Explorer to
find any file (normally.)

Another option is: Start / Find / All files.../ type Content.IE5 / Open
Content.IE5 An index file called index.dat MUST be there. If there isn't
anything else don't worry becaused these temp files are not important
(Temp.) I delete mine regularly when I "do the cleaning.)

Thanks Cris,I used the Start/Find/All Files advice you gave
and it worked.I had 3,495 files in there that I wanted to
delete(I like to keep a tidy computer).I was just puzzled
as to why I couldn't see the "Content IE5" folder in
windows explorer.Thanks for your help!
