Temp files and corruption by MS Anti spyware

I notice that there were boot problems with Windows XP
SP2 starting with MS Antispyware(MSAS). By disabling the
progam during boot the problems stopped. I found that MS
AS created temporary files in the User Local Settings
Temp folder. These accumulated over time. From experience
this means that there is a system problem. Thes temp
files are created every time MS AS is started. This
process does not cause any problem if MS AS is started
after boot. But during boot, multiple boot beeps are
heard and the start of other programs is either slowed or
corrupted.

Currently I retain MS AS to be manually started after
boot.

Does anybody recognise or have this problem?

MS AS version is 1.0.509

whether other programs such as Anti-virus are running or
not.

I haven't seen this problem, nor do I recognize this as something I've heard
before from others in these groups.

The temp files I definitely recognize--two of them. This one has been
brought up here before, and is universal, so I assume Microsoft understands
what is happening. it doesn't seem to have serious consequences, except for
the accumulated number of files in the temp directory.

However, the startup beeps and your mention of "corruption" of other startup
programs isn't familiar. I see that you are running the latest build. Have
you tried start, control panel, add or remove programs, microsoft
antispyware, change, update? There's nothing new to update to, of course,
but this will perform a repair install, which might be helpful.
