Problems editing Javascript files when MS antispyware running

B

Bill C

I have a large (probably over 1000) set of JavaScript
files that I use on my website. Nothing fancy, almost all
just write shared text into a plain vanilla HTML page.

I've always edited them in NotePad.

However, when the MS antispyware program is running, I'm
unable to edit the files in NotePad. First, it reports
each file as potential spyware when I attempt to open it
in NotePad, then, after I authorize, it reports the file
is flawed (usually something's "undefined") and refuses to
let me proceed.

However, when I open an HTML page using IE (whether
locally or from the actual website), no problem.

Is there anything I can do about this, other than
uninstalling MS antispyware?

Thanks,
Bill
