Teddy Bear Virus?

M

Malinda Bruce

I am getting conflicting information regarding the
file "jdbgmgr.exe" It has a Teddy Bear icon in front of it
and is located in the windows\system32 folder. Some say it
is a virus and should be deleted, and others say it is a
legitimate windows file. My quesiton is - Is it a
legitimate windows file and if so, what is its purpose?

"jdbgmgr.exe" is a Java Debugger and is used by Java Programmers. Should
you delete this file from your computer, you will not have any problems
(unless YOU are a Java programmer). That having been said, this is an old,
old hoax -- the file is not a virus and does serve a purpose.
